Western U P Snowmobile Trail Report 12/30/2025

We received between 15 and 20 inches of new snow Sunday into Monday with some areas getting more and some getting less. Today and tomorrow we have snow in the forecast which they are calling for a few inches. Our temps will be in the single at night to teens during the day through Sunday the 4th of January. Our groomers have been busy getting the trails back in shape after all the snow. Please stay on marked trails. Riding on unmarked trails can result in the clubs losing easement for that trail.

Gogebic Area Groomers Report

Your Bergland Area Groomer's report for Monday evening, 12-29-25. We covered 8e, 8w, 102, and 13 north of M28 to our turnaround at 101. Keep in mind that we did not pull the drags in anticipation of encountering downed trees, deep snow, or many bumps that needed to be cleared. (All were the case.) Remember, new snow, drifting, and heavy traffic always create bumps. It will take a few days to get everything back under control, so please be patient and bear with us while we catch up.

U.P. Thunder Riders Trail Report

UPDATED evening - 12/29/25: Due to power outages and snow clearing, we were unable to deploy groomers today. With some help, we cleared some obstacles, making it easier for the groomers to proceed. We will be getting out tomorrow morning to continue clearing and grooming, and if all goes well, we should be able to move to a regular daily grooming schedule. Will give updates as we go.
