A serene getaway with 160″ of annual snowfall, not to mention crisp, cooling breezes off the 917 miles of Lake Superior shoreline even during the summer months, Snowriver allows you to get swept away in the grandeur of nature.

Beyond the rugged, natural beauty, Snowriver has a robust support system in the Midwestern Family Ski Corporation. Snowriver will carry on the tradition of being a destination for people seeking nature, adventure, and time together. MFSC will help guests maximize enjoyment while giving back to the surrounding communities with good stewardship of the natural resources and healthy respect for the people who have long called this special place home. As an extension of Lutsen and Granite Peak, Snowriver will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the best ways to create year-round access to nature and recreation.

Comprised of two mountains Snowriver Mountain Resort offers the selection of various terrain and opportunities for powder runs days after snowstorms! In the future we anticipate connecting these two properties via a lift system and currently we provide a shuttle every 30 minutes between our base area operations for fun on both hills.

Snow Chasers  has 4 unique properties to fit your needs.  There is so much to do in the UP!  We’re centrally located in Wakefield right off US Hwy 2. Stay with us for easy access to trails and outdoor adventure.   Whatever you’re interested in, we are here to host you.  If you’re a winter or summer rider the western UP has trails for all seasons.  With thousands of miles of trails it’s easy to find terrain to enjoy. From the more technical hill climbs, to the fast straightaways, to the ample mud holes, to the open back country in the Ottawa National Forest. We have it!​​
Each of our properties is unique. With close access to Snow River Resort, easy access to snowmobile/ATV trails, and comfortable rooms to relax and spend your nights, we know you will enjoy your time UP here.​

Powder Hound Lodge

Powder Hound has been the center of ski, sled and outdoor activities for over 30 years. Built as the first lodging at Big Powderhorn as Viking Inn and then Christie Lane Lodge. Offering Guided Tours from Gogebic Range to Keweenaw Peninsula and wilderness adventures of all kinds, no matter what season, an adventure is just out the front door of Powder Hound Lodge!
